Acorn Global is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Superintendent to join our client in the Philippines, managing and supervising the mechanical and plumbing work for the piping systems.   With their corporate head office located in Kuala Lumpur our client is an international engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) and life of field services (LOFS) contractor and is a subsidiary of Australia's largest project development and contracting group.

 

Do you have the skills required for this role?

Ideally we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Superintendent as the role will require  you to manage and supervise mechanical and plumbing works for the piping systems, all mechanical installation of BOP and vendor supplied process systems, coal handling system in its entirety, covering specifically the procurement, design, sub contract, planning, quality and safety of the installation. However, due to the specific skills and experience essential for the role it  may also suit someone from a Power Station construction, project management or pipe fitting background; perhaps a Piping Engineer with supervisory experience.

If you have the following qualifications and skills, you could be half-way to becoming the Mechanical Site Superintendent we are looking for!  Do you possess:

   ·         a clear understanding of Primavera level 4

   ·         experience in budget control and quality management

   ·         an understanding of maintenance work

   ·         experience in MEP Project Construction Activities

   ·         solid communication, organisational and leadership skills

   ·         supervisory / managerial experience

As well as a fantastic salary of £110,000 to £120,000 (USD 170,000) per annum, the successful Mechanical Site Superintendent will benefit from our relocation package. “Although there are many positives to living and working here there are a few downsides: living in Australia is more expensive than living in the UK (food and rent in particular), however, it’s is expensive it’s in proportion to the wages that get paid here. Also if you go out of the city / suburbs, it is quite remote but great if you’re a nature lover. Another thing to consider is the heat at the height of summer; if you can’t deal with heat, then Western Australia might not be for you. Overall, there are only a few downsides, but on the whole I’d say the positives far outweigh the negatives!”
